Breakthru Beverage is getting in the holiday spirit by raising funds for Variety Kids Jewel and Jana. Starting November 1st, employees of Breakthru Beverage will be taking part in a holiday raffle with 100% of the money going towards funding life-changing mobility equipment for Jewel and Jana.

Jewel has had many health related setbacks since birth. She has spent a lot of time inpatient at the hospital bed ridden. An adaptive bike would increase the strength in her hips and legs, helping her stand and walk on her own sooner. She will also be able to ride and play with her brothers and friends!

When Jana was 6 years old, she suffered a stroke which resulted in right side weakness. Riding a bike was one of her favorite activities and it is something that she has been working on achieving again with her “new body”. Her balance and ability to hold onto the right handle of the bike makes it extremely difficult for her to ride an upright bike. With YOUR help, Jana will get a customized bike that makes riding safe. Adaptations will include a low-to-the-ground bike making her center of gravity lower, customized handle bars that are easy to grab and hold onto, switching the brakes from the right to the left side, and foot straps to prevent her feet from slipping off the pedals during riding. The adaptive bike will keep Jana active and increase her mobility. It would be life-changing and get her back to her favorite activity.
