Traeson

Traeson is an active 9-year-old with a love for sports. Wanting to participate in sports himself, Traeson became interested in wheelchair basketball. To give Traeson the chance to join Madison's wheelchair basketball team, Mad City Wheelers, his family reached out to Variety for support. Through our Freedom Program, Variety was able to provide funding for Mad City Wheelers team fee, allowing him to have access to the sports' physical, social and emotional benefits. As Traeson plays, he will strengthen his core and improve his coordination. Being a part of an adaptive team will also help him feel included, understood and accepted by others while giving him a social outlet. Traeson recently participated in his first wheelchair basketball tournament and loved it!
