"I give to Variety – the Children’s Charity of Wisconsin, Tent 14, a Wisconsin non-profit corporation currently located at 12425 Knoll Road Suite 110, Elm Grove, Wisconsin, EIN Employer Identification Number: 39-0977152 or its legal successor, the sum of $ (or percentage of my estate) to be used by Variety – the Children’s Charity of Wisconsin, Tent 14 for its unrestricted purposes."
You can make a huge difference in the lives of Variety children by donating a life insurance policy to Variety as beneficiary and owner. By doing so, you will receive a charitable tax receipt for its cash value!
Did you know that assets in these items can be subject to both federal and state estate taxes after your lifetime? And, when a distribution is made from your retirement plan account, your beneficiaries will owe federal income tax in addition to applicable state income taxes after your lifetime. Consider leaving your loved ones less heavily taxed assets. As a nonprofit organization, we are tax-exempt and will receive the full amount of what you designate to us from your plan.
If you wish to make a relatively large and significant charitable gift, consider creating an irrevocable trust for Variety! You can transfer cash, securities or assets to it and retain the income generated for your own lifetime. Thereafter, the capital will be received by Variety to support our special children. With this option you receive a charitable tax receipt immediately.
For larger gifts of $10,000 or more, you may wish to establish a permanent endowment fund named for you or in honor of your family or loved one. With this option, your capital remains intact ‘in perpetuity’ and only the income is used for the children Variety helps. An endowment is an enduring way for you to be remembered for your support of Variety’s special children. Please contact Variety, and your financial and legal advisors for more information to ensure that your legacy will accomplish your charitable goals for Variety’s future!
